Can green technology save the planet? Maybe, but the bottom line is that even green technology can be used to create products that are are more likely to add to the environmental problem than subtract.

To many, all solar products are worthy of praise just because they use green technology but the truth is that packaging, planned obsolescence and manufacturing practices play a huge role in how green an end product is and can serve to make an otherwise earth friendly product less favorable in the green arena.
